Ray Reyes Leon

Ray Reyes was born on March 13, 1970 in New York. He has one younger brother Raul. When he was a small boy the family relocated to Puerto Rico. Ray always knew that he wanted to sing and dance but only with Menudo.
At age 12 he got his chance Edgardo Diaz was holding auditions and Ray was chosen to replace the blond haired Xavier Serbia. Ray sang with Menudo until he was 14 when he had grown to tall to be in the group.
He left Menudo a year later while on the beach in Puerto Rico he met Nora De La Rosa they dated for 6 years and married. They have one son Marcos Alejandro. Nora and Ray recently split up.
When he was 16 he moved to Brazil to work on 2 solo albums one in Spanish called "Una Y Otra Vez," and the second one in Portuguese entitled "Minha Musica." He felt he didn't have fan support so he gave up on his solo career and moved back to Puerto Rico.
He joined the group Proyecto M with fellow Menudo members Johnny Lozada and Rene Farrait. He replaced Xavier Serbia once again. After a few years and 3 albums with Proyecto M the group broke up so they could spend more time with their families.
He began writing television jingles, and in 1997 was in the movie "Mi Dia De Suerte." In 1998 there was a television show in Puerto Rico and Ray was a part of it. After this program several fans called wanting to see the ex Menudo's together again. Ray started to make phone calls and Reencuentro was born.
Johnny Lozada, Rene Farrait, Ray Reyes, Charlie Masso, Ricky Melendez and Miguel Cancel planned on one show in Puerto Rico, this turned into 6 sold out concerts, a world tour, and a double platinum CD in Mexico and The United States. December of 1999 Reencuentro came to an end with a farewell show in Puerto Rico fans gathered from all over for a last chance to see the guys or so we thought. Reencuentro is back after almost 5 years. Stay tuned for more information.
